Hello. I’m Kumu

I am an artist/designer and founder of Rithii Artworks.

Before being a full-time artist, I worked as an architectural designer until I got my two boys. Then decided to explore my creativity on artworks while working from my home studio in Calgary.

I create every day using watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink and digital artworks.

Color is the prime importance in my work, from vivid contrasting to plain black and white.

Colorful watercolor botanical always make me happy and also an ardent admirer of folk art inspired from Sri Lankan tropical nature, which I grew up with until I moved to Canada.
